Join Select Medical’s Administrator In-Training program as a Chief Operating Officer. The program provides qualified candidates with hands-on operational experience in a critical illness recovery hospital setting, focusing on the CEO’s role, goals, and key relationships within the hospital and organization. Training is designed to develop high-performing hospital leaders through a year-long program across multiple sites nationwide with dedicated mentors.
Responsibilities
- Participate in a comprehensive orientation to ensure a smooth transition into the hospital setting.
- Engage in the Administrator In-Training program to gain practical operational experience in a critical illness recovery hospital.
- Support clinical services, case management, medical staff relations, marketing, regulatory compliance, financial management, and human resources as part of the training experiences.
- Collaborate with mentors and leaders to learn CEO-level goals, objectives, and relationship-building needed for effective hospital leadership.
- Contribute to quality patient care and the overall mission of the organization by applying learned skills in real-world settings.
Program Details
The year-long program covers four key areas: orientation, enculturation, administrative onboarding, and ongoing support. During the program, candidates are immersed in training across a range of areas, including:
- Clinical services
- Case management
- Medical staff relations
- Marketing
- Regulatory compliance
- Financial management
- Human resources
Training is conducted at designated sites nationwide and supported by dedicated mentors to educate and onboard the candidate throughout the program.
Minimum Requirements
- A Master’s Degree
- Three (3) years of managerial experience in a healthcare institution
- Management functions in finance, strategic planning, and community health education
Preferred Qualifications
- Operational leadership experience in an acute care or specialty hospital setting
All candidates who successfully complete the program must be willing to relocate in order to accept a new CEO post.
