Chief of Urology

Northwell Health's Arthur Smith Institute for Urology is seeking a physician leader to serve as Chief of Urology at Northern Westchester Hospital. This role involves overseeing clinical operations, ensuring high-quality patient care, and fostering a culture of scholarship within the department. The successful candidate will contribute to the continued growth and excellence of urologic care within the institute.

• The Arthur Smith Institute for Urology has seen tremendous growth over the past five years within Long Island, New York City, and Westchester.
• Physicians have vast experience in minimally invasive procedures to treat all urologic diseases.
• The group holds weekly conferences to keep all updated on the latest treatments and technologies.
• There are residencies and an extensive network of physician extenders.
• Access to the expertise of the largest health system in the New York Metropolitan area.
• Urologic physicians are also faculty of the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell.

Responsibilities

• Work with the chair on all matters related to clinical operations.
• Ensure high quality patient care through development and standardization of care processes and protocols.
• Continue to develop a culture of scholarship in quality improvement, health equity and outcomes.
• Ensure the productivity of physician faculty and support staff.
• Maintain and improve upon the excellence within the department.

Requirements

• M.D. Degree or equivalent from an accredited College of Medicine.
• Completion of residency and fellowship with Board Certification or eligibility.
• Currently licensed as a physician in the State of New York.
• Outstanding communication and management skills, and an ability to work collaboratively with medical staff, hospital management, and staff.
• Previous division, department, or program leadership.
• Preferred: Specialized training in Robotics, Female Pelvic or Uro-Oncology.
