Chief of Urology

The Department of Surgery, Division of Urology at Boston Medical Center – Brighton, a member of the Boston Medical Center Health System, seeks a full‑time Board‑Certified, fellowship‑trained physician to serve as Chief of Urology.

The Chief of Urology will treat patients with kidney, adrenal gland, bladder, and prostate conditions; oversee the hospital’s urology providers; and provide office practice and hospital consultation services. Candidates should have a comprehensive understanding of male and female genitourinary systems and experience applying a variety of medical treatment techniques. Compassion and patient‑centred care are essential.

Boston Medical Center – Brighton is located in the Brighton neighborhood of Boston, near major universities, and serves a diverse patient population from the Greater Boston area.

Requirements

• Board Certified and fellowship‑trained in Urology.
• Massachusetts license.
• At least five (5) years of urology clinical experience with demonstrated leadership and administrative experience.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to engage all levels of the organization, promote a culture of patient safety, and participate in performance‑improvement initiatives.
• Demonstrated commitment to collegial, evidence‑based practice and patient care, including resident and medical student education.
• Program that prioritizes social responsibility, respect, dignity, sensitivity, advocacy, and community service, with a mission to improve health and life at individual and community levels.

The base salary will be based on clinical FTE, qualifications, experience, education, board certifications, specialty, training, and scope of practice. Incentive compensation is not included in this range and will be discussed during the interview process.
