Chief of Urology - BMC Brighton

Overview

Chief of Urology – Department of Surgery, Division of Urology, Boston Medical Center – Brighton. The position oversees the hospital’s urology providers and provides comprehensive clinical care in office and hospital settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive urologic care for kidney, adrenal, bladder, prostate, reproductive organ, and external genitalia disorders.
• Perform office practice, hospital consultations, and supervise clinical staff and consultants.
• Oversee the hospital’s urology providers, ensuring quality patient care and adherence to protocols.
• Lead performance improvement initiatives and promote a culture of patient safety.
• Support resident and medical student education and maintain evidence‑based practice.

Qualifications

• Board‑Certified and fellowship‑trained in Urology; Massachusetts licensed physician.
• Minimum five years of clinical urology experience with demonstrated leadership and administrative experience.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage all levels of the organization.
• Commitment to collegial, evidence‑based practice and patient care, as well as to resident and medical student education.
• Dedication to social responsibility, respect, dignity, sensitivity, advocacy, and community service.

Compensation

Base salary will be determined by clinical FTE, qualifications, experience, education, board certifications, specialty, training, and scope of practice. Incentive compensation is not included in the advertised range and will be discussed during the interview process.
