As the founding Chief of Staff at Bryel, you will partner directly with the CEO to scale a hyper-alignment lab. You’ll drive product strategy, lead technical hiring, and cultivate an elite research community. What You Will Do

• Collaborate with the CEO on high-level research and product strategy, translating complex multimodal RL concepts into actionable business roadmaps and organizational milestones.
• Lead the build-out of the company’s operational foundation, including scaling the hiring pipeline for top-tier researchers and organizing exclusive community events to establish industry presence.
• Manage mission-critical business functions, from coordinating strategic partnerships to overseeing day-to-day operations, ensuring the research team remains focused on hyper-alignment breakthroughs.

The ideal candidate

• Holds an elite technical degree in Computer Science or Research from a top-tier institution like Stanford, Berkeley, or MIT, with the fluency to engage in deep alignment research discussions.
• Possesses a high-signal network within the San Francisco AI/ML ecosystem and a natural instinct for community building, organizing elite dinners, and attracting world-class talent to the lab.
• Demonstrates exceptional operational judgment and “pull,” ideally combining a strong technical background with an MBA or prior experience in a high-growth startup leadership environment.
