Overview
Join Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine (BUCASM) in the Department of Pediatrics at Boston Medical Center (BMC) as Board Certified Chief of Pediatric Endocrinology. This academic faculty appointment involves leading the division’s clinical practice, teaching, and research at an academic urban medical center.
Responsibilities
- Oversee division operations, including clinical, teaching, and research activities.
- Participate in ambulatory clinical services and inpatient consult services.
- Teach and supervise medical students and residents at BMC.
- Collaborate with the Internal Medicine Endocrinology Division on a Pediatric‑to‑Adult Transition Clinic.
- Supervise internal medicine endocrinology fellows.
- Lead the expansion of patient care, teaching, and clinical research missions related to endocrinology, diabetes, and weight management.
- Manage the Type 1 Diabetes Program, Type 2 Diabetes Program, and Adolescent Transgender Program.
- Collaborate with Pediatric and Adult GI and Nutrition services around weight‑management services, including bariatric surgery.
Qualifications
- MD or DO, board‑certified or eligible in Pediatric Endocrinology.
- Fully licensed and credentialed as an attending physician at Boston Medical Center.
- Strong leadership and clinical skills.
- Interest in practicing in an academic urban environment.
