Chief of Interventional Radiology

The Department of Radiology at Northwell Health is seeking a Chief of Interventional Radiology at Lenox Hill Hospital and Goldman Pavilion in New York City. This unique career opportunity allows a qualified candidate to lead a thriving academic interventional radiology section and outpatient center within a major health system. The successful provider will oversee clinical operations, engage in resident and medical student education, and contribute to advanced patient care across state-of-the-art facilities.

Practice Info

• Based at Lenox Hill Hospital and Goldman Pavilion on the Upper East Side in New York City
• Outpatient center at Goldman Pavilion opening in January 2027 featuring two new state-of-the-art interventional suites focused on oncologic interventional radiology along with outpatient consult space
• Four suites currently at Lenox Hill Hospital
• Part of a system-wide division with 30 interventional radiologists
• Lenox Hill Hospital is a tertiary care specialty hospital on the Upper East Side of Manhattan
• Goldman Pavilion is a 15-floor, 200,000 square foot multi-specialty medical complex opening in 2027 including diagnostic and interventional radiology anchored by Northwell Health's Cancer Institute

Responsibilities

• Lead a thriving academic interventional radiology section and outpatient interventional radiology center
• Practice full-time interventional radiology
• Perform a broad range of IR procedures including angiography, arterial and venous interventions, uterine fibroid embolization, prostate artery embolization, thermal ablation, radioembolization, chemoembolization, TIPS, venous access, GU interventions, GI interventions, cholangioscopy, biliary procedures, and vertebroplasty
• Provide subspecialized interventional radiology services as part of the Lenox Hill Hospital team
• Actively participate in the 17-resident training program
• Participate in radiology resident, fellow, and medical student teaching opportunities

Qualifications

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO), or foreign equivalent
• Preferred current academic rank of Associate or Full Professor
• Previous leadership roles in Radiology and/or Interventional Radiology
• Completion of an IR/DR residency or an IR Fellowship at an ACGME-accredited institution
• Currently board certified in IR/DR
• Possess or ability to obtain an unrestricted NYS Medical License
