Chief of Dermatology

Atrius Health, part of the Optum family of businesses, is seeking a dynamic leader to improve Dermatology care for Optum Massachusetts patients. This role involves strategic leadership and collaboration to ensure high-quality, patient-centric, and safe care within the department. • Multi-specialty group practice
• Delivering care for adult and pediatric patients
• 28 practice locations in eastern Massachusetts
• Value-based philosophy within the group practice and with hospitals, rehab, and nursing facilities

Responsibilities

• Improve Dermatology care for Optum Massachusetts patients through dynamic leadership and collaboration
• Identify cost-effective best practices across the state, new technologies, unify patient and clinician experience, and aid in recruiting
• Manage and deliver care to ensure the department's patients receive high quality, patient centric and safe care
• Serve as a clinical leader interface between the Specialty Administration and physicians
• Communicate with departments across Optum Massachusetts to promote understanding and alignment with strategic goals
• Oversee implementation of organizational initiatives at the local level and plan and manage on-going projects within the department
• Implement cost savings measures within the department and maximize use of organizational clinical and non-clinical resources
• Drive change within the department using organizational tools and encourage involvement and creativity of clinical and non-clinical staff

Compensation

• Compensation for this specialty generally ranges from $237,500 - $387,500
• Total cash compensation includes base pay and bonus
• May increase over time based on productivity and performance in the role

Requirements

• Licensed in the State of Massachusetts as a Medical Doctor (M.D.), Board Certified
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) may be required based on specialty
• Preferred: Additional degree(s) in business administration, public health or clinical operations desirable
• Preferred: 3+ years of clinical leadership experience
