Consultant Chief Medical Officer (CMO) – Breakthrough Therapy | Neuro/Pain

Part-Time | 2–3 Days/Week | Flexible US Location

A clinical-stage biotech developing a first-in-class, breakthrough therapy in the neuro/pain space is seeking a Consultant CMO to provide strategic medical leadership during a critical phase of development. This is a high-impact advisory role supporting clinical strategy, trial execution, regulatory interactions, and investor engagement.

Highlights:

Therapeutic Area: Neuroscience / Pain – innovative, non-opioid mechanism
Engagement: 2–3 days per week (flexible scheduling)
Location: Remote/flexible within the US
Stage: Advancing toward pivotal trials with Breakthrough Therapy Designation

Ideal Background:

Board-certified neurologist, anesthesiologist, psychiatrist, or related specialty
Prior CMO or senior clinical leadership experience in biotech/pharma
Deep understanding of CNS clinical development and regulatory landscape
Comfortable operating in lean, fast-paced environments
