Chief Leadership Officer
Role Purpose
The Chief Leadership Officer (CLO) exists to develop strong leaders, ensure operational excellence, and steward the
business well. This role leads with a servant’s heart and an operator’s mindset—driving people development, food
safety, operational consistency, and financial performance while supporting business growth and long-term success.
Primary Responsibilities
- Leadership & Culture: Develop, coach, and retain leaders who live out Chick-fil-A’s Core Values while modeling servant leadership.
- Operational Excellence: Ensure consistent execution of Chick-fil-A systems, standards, and brand expectations across all dayparts.
- Food Safety: Champion food safety as a non-negotiable priority and hold leaders accountable to training, certification, and compliance.
- Financial Stewardship: Lead with strong understanding of profit and loss, labor management, food cost, and controllable expenses.
- Systems & Development: Develop and refine systems that improve consistency, efficiency, and scalability.
- Business Growth: Support sustainable growth by strengthening leadership capability, systems, and performance.
- Leadership Alignment: Align leadership execution with ownership vision through clear communication, accountability, and follow-through.
