Just look up.Are you ready to go beyond?The Chief Inspector is responsible to the Quality Manager for the overall operation of the inspection department and delegated to oversee all return to service process. You will direct, plan and lay out the details of inspection standards, methods, and procedures used by the repair stations in complying with all applicable Federal Aviation Regulations and Manufactures specifications and recommendations.

This position can be located in Atlanta, GA, Burlington, VT, or Clarksburg, WV. Extensive travel is required to support our Mobile Repair Team at various locations with occasional extended work hours.FAA Anti-Drug and Alcohol Misuse Prevention Program – This position is covered under the PWES FAA Anti-Drug and Alcohol Misuse Prevention Program. The selected candidate will be required to complete a pre-employment FAA drug screen. Vision Program – This position is covered under the PWES Vision program, and the selected candidate will be a participant in this program.Key Responsibilities:Responsible for performing a variety of duties in supporting & implementing the Pratt & Whitney Engine Services Internal Quality Management System.Ensure compliance to FAA regulations, ISO 9001:2008 and AS 9100 / AS9110 (as revised) requirements.Provide oversight of the PWES and MRT inspection process.Involved in Internal/External AuditsCreate, update, and maintain all regulatory documentationQualifications You Must Have:Associate's Degree (or other 2 year post high school training) with a minimum of 8 years of prior inspection experience complying with Federal Aviation Regulations, OR in lieu of no degree a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experienceValid A&P LicenseQualifications We Prefer:In-depth working knowledge with Federal Aviation Administration regulationsWorking Knowledge of technical Documentation/ standardsFamiliar with engine assembly and disassembly processFamiliar with inspection and measurement equipmentFamiliar with component repair processExperience with investigation (DIVE) Process and other continuous improvement processes/ toolsPrevious experience as a Chief Inspector or Quality ManagerExperience with regulatory certificationPrior experience with return to service functionsCertificated in ACE, CORE or 6SigmaInternal/ External Auditor experience/ Experience as a Lead AuditorTraining / working knowledge of AS9110This role is: Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
