The DC Criminal Justice Coordinating Council (CJCC) is seeking a bold, strategic Chief Information Security Officer to lead cybersecurity, drive innovation, and protect the systems that keep DC’s justice partners connected.
What You’ll Do:
- Maintain and strengthen CJCC’s cybersecurity policies, posture, and overall readiness.
- Lead major IT initiatives, including reviewing existing and proposed system architectures to ensure security and data integrity.
- Oversee strategic planning, design, implementation, and deployment of cloud-based infrastructure for enterprise systems, web portals, and mobile applications.
- Identify emerging threats and lead proactive initiatives to protect agency systems and data.
- Ensure gaps and weaknesses are assigned, addressed, and resolved to maintain continuity of security operations.
- Serve as the process owner for all confidentiality, integrity, and availability efforts related to CJCC’s information resources.
- Direct the operational processes of the Security Operations Center (SOC) and ensure effective monitoring and response.
- Assess and monitor CJCC’s compliance with information security regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Provide technical leadership for the development, implementation, maintenance, and enhancement of security programs.
- Create and manage comprehensive policies, procedures, and security plans for unclassified and classified information assets.
