SUMMARYA growing manufacturing company is searching for a dynamic and seasoned CFO who is ready to build a great foundation and lead the company's plans for growth.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.A strong finance and accounting background with proven success in managing all functions of a finance organizationDeep and extensive knowledge of finance and accounting for Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Distribution, Customer Service and AftermarketExperience in both large and small organizations and substantial experience as the finance leader during a major restructuring / turnaroundIndustry background in Manufacturing (Aerospace, Heavy Machinery, Automotive or similar industries)Thorough understanding of FAR and other government laws and regulationsExperience with a variety of contract types and customers in government contractingExperience managing multi-site accounting across facilities both in the US and in MexicoHands-on and detail-orientedAble to develop and nurture effective relationships at all levels of the organizationsCapable of establishing a trusting relationship with the private equity investorFlexible, nimble and adaptiveWorks well under pressure, tight deadlines and competing prioritiesLeads by exampleAn exceptional ability to identify, recruit, motivate, coach and develop his/ her teamOutstanding communication and presentation skills both oral and written; a boardroom presence and ability to communicate effectively with external constituentsUnquestionable business ethics, personal integrity and moral stanceHigh energy with a “fire in the belly” and a passion for the product; desire and ability to ignite and rally the troopsMust have executive presence and be able to convey confidence when delivering information about the company’s financialsSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESResponsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employeesPlanning, assigning, and directing workAppraising performanceRewarding and disciplining employeesAddressing complaints and resolving problems.Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.Current CPA license in good standing required.At least 15 years of progressively responsible Finance and Accounting experience.Prior experience as a standalone CFO or senior divisional CFO with full responsibility for accounting, reporting, cash, budgeting, and forecasting.Significant manufacturing experience, preferably in aerospace, defense, or another complex industrial business.Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, cost accounting, inventory, internal controls, and audit requirements.Experience with government-contract accounting and working knowledge of FAR and DFARS requirements.Demonstrated experience leading a Finance transformation, including dashboards, ERP utilization, reporting automation, and process improvement.Experience managing lender relationships, cash forecasting, covenant reporting, and liquidity.Ability and willingness to work onsite in Mesa, Arizona.Preferred QualificationsExperience in a privately held or private-equity-backed company.Aerospace or defense industry experience.Experience supporting DCAA or DCMA audits.Experience supporting a restructuring, turnaround, or significant organizational transformation.Experience supporting an acquisition, divestiture, recapitalization, refinancing, or other strategic transaction.MBA or other relevant advanced degree.Leadership ProfileThe successful candidate will be a hands-on builder with strong integrity, sound judgment, and executive presence.
