LHH is assisting our Louisville-based financial services and insurance technology company in their search for a dynamic and experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join their executive team. This role is responsible for directing all financial aspects of the company, driving financial strategy, and ensuring the company's long-term financial health. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a strong background in leading finance and accounting, preferably within a regulated broker-dealer environment. As a senior leader, you will work closely with the CEO and other executives to make data-driven decisions that will shape the future of the company. The company operates in a dynamic growth phase with ongoing investments in leadership, infrastructure, controls, and systems. Responsibilities
- Providing strategic and operational leadership, you will serve as a key financial advisor to the CEO and executive team on strategic planning, financial planning, and investment priorities
- Lead all accounting, finance, treasury, and financial reporting functions.
- Direct budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and cash flow management.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, insurance regulations, tax requirements, and internal controls.
- Partner with the CEO and executive leadership to develop and execute financial strategies that support business objectives.
- Analyze financial performance and identify opportunities to improve profitability and operational efficiency.
- Oversee annual audits, banking relationships, financial risk management, and regulatory reporting.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the finance and accounting team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required
- CPA designation strongly preferred; MBA or equivalent advanced degree a plus
- Prior experience in the financial services and/or insurance environment preferred
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive accounting and finance experience, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership role
- Exceptional leadership, analytical, communication, and strategic decision-making skills
- Experience with PE firms is helpful
