We are seeking a strategic, relationship-driven President & Chief Executive Officer to lead the organization in partnership with the Board of Directors and executive leadership.The Opportunity: Chief Executive LeadershipThe CEO will be responsible for the overall leadership, strategic direction, and performance of the organization.
This role requires a leader who can balance operational excellence with long-term strategy while fostering a highly collaborative, service-oriented culture.Leadership & StrategyLead the development and execution of the organization’s long-term strategic vision in alignment with Vituity growthPartner with the Board of Directors to identify and address key strategic prioritiesDrive financial performance, profitability, and sustainable growthSupport geographic and service expansion aligned with Vituity’s needsOperational & Organizational LeadershipOversee day-to-day operations and ensure high standards of quality and responsivenessBuild and develop a high-performing executive leadership teamEstablish and maintain operational systems, processes, and infrastructure to support growthEnsure effective communication and alignment across the organizationFinancial & Business OversightOversee financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysisEnsure strong internal controls, regulatory compliance, and fiscal disciplinePartner with actuarial, underwriting, and claims leadership to support sound business decisionsClaims & Client PartnershipCollaborate with senior leadership, including Vituity executives, on the management of significant claimsSupport a client-centered claims philosophy that prioritizes transparency and partnershipMaintain and strengthen the organization’s relationship with Vituity, ensuring alignment and trustBoard & Stakeholder EngagementPartner closely with the Board Chair and Board of Directors on governance and strategic directionPrepare and present regular updates on financial performance, operations, and growth initiativesRepresent the organization with credibility to stakeholders, partners, and the broader industryRequired Experience and Competencies10+ years of senior leadership experience within medical professional liability insurance or a closely related sectorDemonstrated expertise across insurance operations, including underwriting, claims, reinsurance, and financial managementStrong understanding of healthcare and physician practice environmentsExperience working with Boards and regulatory bodiesProven ability to lead, develop, and scale organizationsPreferred QualificationsPrior CEO or executive leadership experience within an MPL organizationExperience supporting geographic or service line expansionFamiliarity with reinsurance program design and executionAdvanced degree in business or a related fieldCompensationThe expected total compensation range for this role is approximately $850,000 – $1,100,000, inclusive of base salary and performance-based incentives.Compensation includes:Base salaryNon-discretionary annual incentiveDiscretionary bonus tied to performanceFinal compensation will be determined based on experience, expertise, and internal equity considerations.LocationThis is a primarily remote role with regular in-person engagement required with Vituity leadership and The Mutual RRG team. A California-based candidate is strongly preferred.
