Chief Executive Officer

An ambitious battery technology start-up is seeking an experienced Chief Executive Officer to lead the business through its next phase of commercial growth. Having successfully developed innovative technology with significant market potential, the company is now entering an exciting stage of scale-up, requiring a commercially focused leader with the vision and experience to build a high-performing organisation.

The Role

As CEO, you will be responsible for setting and delivering the company's strategic vision while overseeing all commercial, operational and financial activities. You will lead the transition from technology development to large-scale market adoption, building the team, partnerships and investment required to achieve ambitious growth objectives.

Key responsibilities include:

• Developing and executing the company's long-term growth strategy.
• Driving commercialisation and revenue generation across key global markets.
• Leading fundraising activities and managing relationships with investors and the Board.
• Building and developing a high-performing executive leadership team.
• Establishing strategic partnerships with customers, OEMs, manufacturers and technology partners.
• Overseeing operational scale-up, manufacturing strategy and organisational growth.
• Representing the business with customers, investors, industry partners and at major industry events.
• Creating a culture focused on innovation, accountability and execution.

About You

We're looking for an exceptional executive with a proven track record of leading technology businesses through rapid growth.

You will ideally have:

• Previous experience as a CEO, Managing Director, President or senior executive within a high-growth technology business.
• Experience scaling a venture-backed or investor-backed organisation.
• Strong commercial leadership with a history of delivering significant revenue growth.
• Experience within battery technology, energy storage, advanced materials, electrification, clean technology or a closely related sector.
• Demonstrated success raising capital and managing investor relationships.
• Outstanding leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• A strategic mindset combined with a hands-on approach suited to a growing business.
• The ability to build credibility with customers, investors and technical teams alike.
