Chief Executive Officer (Starkey, Inc.)

Overview

Starkey, Inc. (founded in 1930) serves nearly 500 people with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Wichita, Kansas, helping them to work, live more independently and engage in their community through a variety of programs.

The Board is seeking a visionary CEO who leads with integrity, has executive management experience with financial and employee supervisory responsibilities in a human services organization, has a record of accomplishment leading a comparable‑sized nonprofit and has previous personal or professional relationships with people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead a workforce of 380 employees.
• Manage an operating budget of $27 million and a capital budget of $800,000.
• Oversee more than 40 homes and facilities.
• Maintain CARF accreditation.
• Conduct ongoing state and local advocacy efforts.

Qualifications

• Executive management experience in a human services organization with financial and employee supervisory responsibilities.
• Accomplished track record leading a nonprofit of comparable size.
• Previous personal or professional relationships with people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
