Our client is looking for a candidate to be responsible for:• Project Evaluation: assess project plans, specifications, and other documents to understand the scope of work, materials required and labor involved• Cost Estimation: lead the process of estimating the costs associated with a project to include materials, labor, equipment, and overhead expenses • Bid Preparation: responsible for preparing bids and proposals in response to the RFP or bid documents provided by the client• Team Management: oversee the team project coordinator / engineer or junior estimators, providing guidance, training and supervision to ensure consistency and accuracy in estimates• Vendor and Subcontractor Relations: negotiate with vendors and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing for materials and services required while preparing the bid
Salary is $120K+ DOE. Solid benefits package. Direct placement opportunity.
• Bachelors degree in construction management, engineering or related field is preferred• 10+ years of estimating experience required• proficiency with estimating software (i.e. Heavy Bid or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite• strong written and oral communication skills
