Northrop Grumman Space System Ipt LeadNorthrop Grumman Space System is seeking an Integrated Product Team (IPT) Lead within the Electronics and Payloads Division. This position will support our Eastern Region Engineering Team.The Space Hardware IPT Lead will focus on program execution responsibilities. Programmatic focus will be on the activities to develop key technologies, integrate and shape solutions for Space Payload and Ground Systems Division while also supporting the creation of new strategies to win and execute future development programs.
This position will be located in Baltimore, MD.This individual will lead a cross-discipline engineering team typically ranging from 5-25 people and interface with Engineering & Program Management, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, System, Software and Mission Assurance.Typical Responsibilities Include:Lead and direct cross-functional engineering teams during proposal, design, manufacturing, and delivery phases of products in development and production phasesSupport proposal development and new program acquisition effortsInterpret statements of work assigned by program leadershipDevelop and execute to project budgets and schedules, including Earned Value Management System (EVMS), critical path management, Estimates-at-Completion (EACs), and workload forecastsInterface with functional departments to secure team staffingWork with suppliers and be able to articulate project requirementsBrief internal and customer leadership on progress of work assignedThe selected candidate will perform in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, and collaborative/team settings. The ideal candidate is expected to be self-motivated, highly organized, and detail oriented and possess effective verbal and written communication skillsThis job can be hybrid (80% on site, 20% remote) must live in the local areaBasic Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or STEM-related discipline with 12 years of experience, or 10 years with a Master's Degree and 7 years of experience with a Ph.D.Candidate must have good communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, and good oral and written presentation skillsLeadership experience should include at least five of the following: project planning, cost and schedule management and tracking, technology management, risk management, performance reporting, proposals, manufacturing support, vendor selection and management, hardware specification, and program staffingExperience in Digital Hardware, Firmware Development and/or Embedded ProcessingU.S. Citizenship is requiredMust have an active SECRET clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret with a SCIPreferred Qualifications:Experience as Technical lead, Integrated Product Team (IPT) Lead, or other leadership role in a program office or business function with demonstrated team building, organizational, and interpersonal skillsExperience as a Control Account Manager (CAM) managing Earned Value Management System (EVMS) projectsExperience directly managing or leading engineering teamsFluency with developing and executing project schedulesBasic understanding of the Design, Manufacturing, and Test processProblem-solving experience in a team environmentPMP certification a plusActive TS/SCI with counterintelligence polygraph
