CHIEF ENGINEER II

Job Description and Duties

Chief Engineer II responsible for supervising Plant Operations staff and others in the operation, maintenance, and repair of the heating and electrical plant and other mechanical and power equipment to support the Veterans Home of California, Yountville.

Responsibilities

• Supervise plant operations personnel.
• Oversee the maintenance and repair of heating, electrical, mechanical, and power equipment.
• Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental standards.
• Coordinate with other departments to support facility operations.

Minimum Requirements

• Must pass the Chief Engineer II examination to establish list eligibility.

Working Conditions

Employees must follow state or county public health guidelines and requirements for infectious disease prevention and control.
