Chief EngineerThe Chief Engineer is responsible for all working matters under the operations and maintenance of building systems at CMI's customer site in Des Moines, Iowa.Key Job FunctionsAct as the onsite first-line Supervisor to O&M staffResponsible for the building's systems including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and supervision of technicians.Performs Preventive Maintenance tasks involving keeping equipment in good working order to reduce downtime and prevent breakdowns.Shall be onsite in a full-time capacity and on-call to respond to emergencies.QualificationsHigh School DiplomaExperience in supervising and directing building operations and maintenance of equipment for a singular federal facility of at least 500,000 square feet.Shall possess one or more of the following certifications: North American Technician Excellence (NATE) HVAC Service Technician CertificationHVAC Excellence Professional Level CertificationUA Star HVAC Mastery CertificationMust maintain a minimum of 16 hours of continuing education per year from either NATE, HVAC Excellence, or UA Star recognized provider program.Competencies for SuccessTeamworkResults orientation/operational excellenceHolding self and other accountableOperational business thinkingAll your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.CMI is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion.
