Onsite Contract General Sales

Solidion Technology, Inc. (NASDAQ: STI) is a development-stage cleantech company pioneering next-generation battery materials — including graphene-enhanced anodes, silicon anode composites, and battery architectures — for electric vehicles, grid storage, data center, and defense applications. Headquartered in Dallas, TX with pilot production facilities in Dayton, Ohio, we are a small, high-velocity public company with approximately 25 employees, a recently closed capital raise, and a growing portfolio of commercial and licensing opportunities.

Job Summary

We are seeking a commercially driven Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) to build and lead Solidion's go-to-market, business development, and revenue-generating functions. Reporting to the CEO and serving as a key member of the executive team, the CCO will translate our differentiated battery materials technology into signed customers, licensing agreements, joint development programs, and offtake commitments. This is a hands‑on, build-from-the-ground‑up leadership role for an executive who can operate at both the strategic and deal‑execution levels in a resource‑conscious public company scaling toward commercialization.

Responsibilities

  • Own the commercial strategy: Define and execute Solidion's commercialization roadmap across EV, energy storage, data center, and defense end markets, prioritizing the applications and customers with the clearest path to revenue.
  • Drive business development: Identify, structure, and close customer agreements, joint development agreements (JDAs), licensing deals, and offtake or supply arrangements with OEMs, cell manufacturers, and materials partners.
  • Build the sales pipeline: Establish and manage the commercial pipeline from lead generation through qualification, sampling, technical validation, and contract execution; maintain disciplined forecasting and reporting to the CEO and Board.
  • Lead strategic partnerships: Cultivate relationships with strategic and financial partners, government and defense programs, and industry consortia to expand market access and funding channels.
  • Partner with R&D and operations: Work closely with the technical team in Dayton to align product development and pilot production capacity with customer requirements, qualification timelines, and market demand.
  • Inform capital and IR narrative: Collaborate with the CFO and executive team to ensure commercial milestones, backlog, and pipeline are accurately reflected in investor communications, disclosures, and capital planning.
  • Represent the company externally: Serve as a senior commercial spokesperson at industry conferences, customer negotiations, and partner meetings.
  • Build the commercial organization: Recruit, structure, and eventually lead the sales, marketing, and business development functions as the company scales.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Materials Science, Chemistry, Business, or a related field; an MBA or advanced technical degree is preferred.
  • 10+ years of commercial leadership experience in advanced materials, batteries, energy storage, EV supply chain, specialty chemicals, or a comparable deep-tech / hardware sector.
  • Demonstrated deal-closing track record: A verifiable history of sourcing and closing customer, licensing, JDA, or offtake agreements, ideally in early-stage or pre-revenue commercialization environments.
  • Technical fluency: Ability to credibly engage OEM and cell‑manufacturer engineering teams on battery materials performance, qualification processes, and product specifications.
  • Public‑company awareness: Understanding of the disclosure sensitivities and Reg FD considerations that apply to commercial announcements at a NASDAQ‑listed company.
  • Entrepreneurial operating style: Comfortable building functions from scratch and executing hands‑on in a small, fast‑moving team.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally to customers, partners, and industry events.
  • Based in or able to relocate to the Dallas, TX area for an in‑office, full‑time role.
