About USSTRATCOM
U.S. Strategic Command (USSTRATCOM) is central to guarding the nation’s security interests through leadership in strategic deterrence, nuclear operations, and innovative enterprise IT solutions. We control essential systems supporting Nuclear Command, Control, and Communications (NC3), Joint Electromagnetic Spectrum Operations (JEMSO), and Global Strike initiatives, collaborating with other Combatant Commands, military branches, and defense agencies.
Your Role and Responsibilities
- Lead the development and curation of enterprise architectures using Model‑Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methods in alignment with Unified Architecture Framework (UAF) standards.
- Define, design, and implement digital platform architecture frameworks ensuring scalability, security, and alignment with enterprise strategy.
- Lead system decomposition at various levels of abstraction (capability, operational, system, functional) aligning across mission areas.
- Develop advanced executable models (fUML preferred) and extend models across tools via APIs or existing frameworks.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across system domains to analyze requirements and enhance processes, systems, and capabilities.
- Establish and maintain architecture enabling data analytics and program performance metrics for mission continuity and decision‑making.
- Ensure architectures comply with IT security frameworks, integrating automated configuration management.
- Exhibit professional customer service and maintain strong cross‑departmental collaboration.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field from an ABET‑accredited institution.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in systems architecture and modeling for federal programs, including 5+ years with Systems Modeling Language (SysML), DoD ‑R 3.0, and 3 years with UAF.
- Proficiency in UML, UAF, SysML, and experience with modeling tools (Cameo Enterprise Architect preferred). 5+ years managing complex IT systems.
- Experience with tool automation, integration, and technical auditing.
- Active Top Secret/SCI eligibility. Possession of ITIL 4 Foundation and Advanced level certification.
- Strong understanding of DoD and USSTRATCOM security policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years delivering federal IT services such as cloud architecture, cybersecurity, or network systems.
- Architecture certifications recognized by the Object Management Group (OMG).
- Systems Engineering certifications from the International Council on Systems Engineering (INCOSE).
- Master’s degree in STEM field.
- Demonstrated leadership in developing architectural strategies for large, complex programs.
- In‑depth technical knowledge and familiarity with military or defense IT environments.
