In this leadership role, you will assist in directing the Anesthesia Department while managing patient care during surgical and medical procedures. OrthoVirginia is the largest orthopedic group in Virginia, operating out of a facility featuring integrated physical therapy and an on-site office operatory.

Practice Info

• Located at OrthoVirginia’s Shrader Road practice, featuring integrated physical therapy and an on-site office operatory
• Routine outpatient orthopedics, with a focus of expanding a new outpatient total joint program including shoulders, knees, and hips

Responsibilities

• Assist in the directing and coordinating of activities in the Anesthesia Department
• Responsible for the medical management of patients who are rendered unconscious and/or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgery and other medical procedures
• Pre-anesthesia assessment
• Obtains and/or verifies patient consent
• Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia
• Monitoring of the patient's physiological condition
• Performance of clinical intervention as needed

Compensation

• Salary: $500K
• Chief Stipend: $30K
• Sign-on Incentive: $100K

Requirements

• M.D./D.O. Degree from an accredited College of Medicine
• ECFMG and FLEX
• Completion of approved residency in anesthesia
• Currently licensed as a physician
