Our client, a global law firm, is looking for a patent attorney or patent agent with an advanced degree in Chemistry.

Locations: New York, Houston, Philadelphia, or Washington, DC.

Billable hours: 1,600

Schedule: Hybrid 3/2

Responsibilities:

• Patent preparation and prosecution
• Patent licensing
• Conducting due diligence in IP transactions towards rendering opinions to clients
• Working closely with clients, inventors, and firm attorneys.

Patent Attorney Qualifications:

• Must have patent drafting experience.
• Must have an advanced degree (Ph.D. or M.S.) in chemistry, organic chemistry, applied chemistry, polymer science, polymer engineering, biochemistry, or a related field
• 2-4 years of patent prosecution experience within a law firm.
• J.D. from an accredited law school
• Must be in good standing with the relevant jurisdiction's bar
• Admitted to practice before the USPTO

Patent Agent Qualifications:

• Must have patent drafting experience.
• Must have an advanced degree (Ph.D. or M.S.) in chemistry, organic chemistry, applied chemistry, polymer science, polymer engineering, biochemistry, or a related field
• 2-4 years of patent prosecution experience within a law firm.
• Admitted to practice before the USPTO.
