Make sure to apply with all the requested information, as laid out in the job overview below.
Job Summary
We're hiring a Quality Laboratory Chemist for our fully onsite, second-shift laboratory in Lancaster, South Carolina. You'll perform release, stability, and special-request testing of raw materials and finished supplement products, following established procedures and analytical methods.
This is an individual-contributor role focused on product quality testing. After initial onboarding and method training, you'll independently execute established methods, document results, review colleagues' reports, and take on assigned projects as your familiarity with the laboratory grows.
What You'll Do
•Perform HPLC and other analytical testing using SOPs, in-house procedures, and compendial methods.
•Record test results, prepare accurate reports, and complete peer reviews of laboratory documentation.
•Manage assigned testing and project deadlines, adapting to changes in the laboratory's testing schedule.
•Maintain a safe laboratory environment and ensure equipment used for testing is calibrated and properly maintained.
•Learn additional methods and instrumentation, collaborate with laboratory teammates, and assist with out-of-specification investigations when assigned.
What You'll Bring
•Bachelor's degree in Chemistry.
•At least 3 years of quality-control laboratory experience, ideally 3 to 5 years, with hands-on HPLC experience.
•Experience managing projects, writing technical reports, and reviewing peers' laboratory reports.
•Ability to follow written methods independently, manage your time, and communicate clearly within a laboratory team.
•Relevant product-testing experience; pharmaceutical QC backgrounds are welcome, and cGMP laboratory experience is preferred.
•Ability to perform essential laboratory activities, including standing and walking throughout an 8-hour shift, bending, using stairs, and moving loads of at least 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
The second-shift schedule is Monday through Thursday, 3:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m., and Friday, 1:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. This is a full-time, fully onsite position with no travel expected. Employment is subject to a preemployment background check and drug screen, as permitted by applicable law.
You'll contribute to the quality of supplements for people and pets through careful testing, accurate reporting, and collaboration with colleagues who review and rely on your work. xzgxqkn
