Chemical Technician Corvallis, ORApplies extensive knowledge of the job skills, company policies and procedures to complete complex, specialized assignments/tasks in creative and effective waysComprehensive understanding of the general/technical aspects of the jobWorks on assignments that are complex in nature and require judgment, initiative, and technical/specialized knowledge to resolve problems and/or develop recommended solutionsUse excellent wet bench chemistry skills to create solutions, perform dilutions, and formulate and reformulate inksPerform testing of inks and solutions by filling printer pens and printing on a variety of printer typesPerform analysis of materials and components utilizing standard chemical/laboratory instrumentation for R&D, product development and manufacturing activitiesPerform standard physical analysis of solutions and inks and report results quickly and accuratelyWork with chemists to perform experiments and communicate resultsWork on assignments that are complex in nature and require considerable judgment, initiative, and technical/specialized knowledge to resolve problems and/or develop recommended solutionsWork is completed with minimal supervision and assignments may be completed without established proceduresMay determine methods and procedures for new assignmentsExpert knowledge of routine chemical laboratory procedures, equipment, chemical nomenclature, chemical handling and safetyThorough knowledge of the theory and operation of simple analytical testing (pH, conductivity, viscosity, etc.) and/or routine chemical formulation proceduresWorking knowledge of the theory and operation of more complex analytical instrumentation (particle size, contact angle, etc.)Working knowledge of general chemistry and/or materials analysis theoryBasic knowledge of advanced analytical instrumentation theory and operation (chromatography, spectroscopy, etc.)Basic knowledge of chemical synthesis techniquesHas sufficient chemical and/or materials analysis knowledge to recommend testing procedures for technologies supportedAbility to perform advanced, standard lab practices (titration, filtration, purification, etc.)Ability to perform data analysisAbility to perform literature and patent searchesAbility to work with equipment vendors for new tool research, purchasing, and set up as requiredAbility to author and review technical reports as requiredCorvallis, Oregon, United StatesESR Healthcare
