Chemical Plant OperatorWe are seeking a detail-oriented and safety-conscious Chemical Plant Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining the equipment used in our chemical production processes. This role is crucial to ensuring the safe, efficient, and high-quality production of chemical products that meet our company's standards and customer requirements.ResponsibilitiesOperate and monitor chemical processing and production equipment safely and efficientlyFollow established operating procedures, safety guidelines, and production requirementsMonitor gauges, instruments, temperatures, pressures, and other operating conditionsPerform routine inspections and make adjustments to equipment as neededLoad, unload, transfer, and handle raw materials and finished productsMaintain accurate production and operational recordsPerform quality checks and report any abnormalities or equipment issuesAssist with equipment cleaning, basic maintenance, and plant housekeepingFollow all OSHA, company, and plant safety requirementsProperly use required PPE and follow chemical handling proceduresCommunicate effectively with supervisors, maintenance, and other plant personnelQualificationsPrevious experience in chemical processing, manufacturing, production, refinery, petrochemical, or industrial operations preferred.Ability to work 12-hour shifts, 4 days per week, including days or nights.Comfortable working around chemicals and in a plant/industrial environment.Strong attention to safety and detail.Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.Ability to read gauges, meters, and basic operating instructions.Must be dependable and able to maintain consistent attendance.Ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.High school diploma or GED preferred.Physical RequirementsAbility to stand, walk, and move around the plant for extended periods.Capable of lifting and moving heavy materials and equipment as necessary.Comfortable working in environments with exposure to chemicals, heat, and noise.
