Key Responsibilities

n
• n

  Lead, manage, coach, and guide associates assigned to the department.

  n
n
• n

  Maintain positive and effective communication with providers, supervisors, peers, and staff.

  n
n
• n

  Perform all applicable staff nurse responsibilities and provide direct patient care as needed.

  n
n
• n

  Collaborate with healthcare providers to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.

  n
n
• n

  Assist with administrative responsibilities, including staff evaluations, disciplinary actions, and staffing.

  n
n
• n

  Oversee department logs and ensure required forms are completed accurately and submitted on time.

  n
n
• n

  Ensure provider orders are directed to the appropriate departments.

  n
n
• n

  Complete patient authorizations and referrals in a timely manner.

  n
n
• n

  Perform patient triage and appropriate interventions based on patient age and clinical needs.

  n
n
• n

  Maintain knowledge of medical forms and documentation, including physical exams, work excuses, and proof-of-pregnancy documentation.

  n
n
• n

  Administer prescribed immunizations and medications.

  n
n
• n

  Perform EKGs and patient triage in a timely and efficient manner.

  n
n
• n

  Complete laboratory requirements and follow established laboratory procedures, including phlebotomy.

  n
n
• n

  Meet regularly with subordinate staff to identify and resolve concerns, promote effective communication, and disseminate important information.

  n
n
• n

  Support a safe, efficient, and patient-centered clinical environment.

  n
n

Qualifications

n
• n

  Associate degree required.

  n
n
• n

  Active RN license in the State of Florida and in good standing.

  n
n
• n

  Current BLS and CPR certification required.

  n
n
• n

  Minimum of 2+ years of professional nursing experience .

  n
n
• n

  Previous charge nurse, leadership, or supervisory experience preferred.

  n
n
• n

  Strong communication, organizational, clinical, and leadership skills.

  n
n
• n

  Ability to work effectively in an onsite, fast-paced healthcare environment.
