Charge Nurse - Stepdown/Critical Care

Seeking a registered nurse to lead and coordinate unit staffing, ensuring quality patient care and clinical objectives are met.

Key Responsibilities Include

• Assigning, educating, and monitoring nursing/support staff during shifts.
• Assessing patient care needs and developing appropriate care assignments.
• Collaborating with advanced practice providers to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Evaluating patient care effectiveness and addressing issues affecting outcomes.
• Responding to patient care complaints and participating in staffing decisions.
• Possibly participating in hiring, training, and staff evaluations.
• Maintaining safety and performing other assigned duties.

Qualifications And Skills

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program or equivalent licensing.
• At least one year of registered nurse experience.
• Current RN license and BLS certification; additional certifications such as ALS, NRP, PALS may be required based on location.
• Excellent communication skills, physical stamina, and the ability to evaluate and respond to patient needs.

Physical And Professional Requirements

• Frequent standing, walking, lifting (up to 50 lbs), and data entry.
• Use of vision, hearing, smell, and manual dexterity to support patient care.
• Occasional patient lifting and movement, with a focus on safety and alertness.
