The Households at Levindale is an innovative, resident-centered community featuring six intimate households with just 14 private rooms each, allowing nurses to build meaningful relationships while providing personalized, compassionate care. Two households specialize in dementia care, and one is dedicated to serving the Orthodox Jewish community.

Charge Nurse

The Charge Nurse serves as a clinical leader, mentor, and resource for nursing staff while ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality resident care. This role collaborates with the interdisciplinary team, supports staff development, coordinates daily operations, and promotes a culture of teamwork, safety, and excellence.

Responsibilities:

• nProvide direct patient care while leading and supporting nursing staff.n
• nCoordinate daily clinical operations and resident care.n
• nServe as a clinical resource and role model for RNs, LPNs, and CNAs.n
• nMonitor resident conditions, identify changes, and respond appropriately to clinical concerns.n
• nAssist with staffing coordination and patient flow.n
• nConduct patient rounds, chart reviews, and compliance monitoring.n
• nSupport staff education, orientation, competency validation, and professional development.n
• nParticipate in employee coaching and performance management.n
• nCollaborate with physicians, therapists, social workers, and other members of the interdisciplinary team.n
• nPromote resident safety, quality care, resident satisfaction, and teamwork.n
• nLead and respond to emergency situations while maintaining unit operations.n

Qualifications:

Required:

• nGraduate of an accredited nursing program.n
• nCurrent Maryland RN license or eligibility for Maryland licensure.n
• nCurrent Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.n
• nMinimum of two (2) years of nursing experience, preferably in long-term care, skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or geriatric care.n
• nStrong clinical assessment, leadership, communication, and critical thinking skills.n
• nAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.n

Preferred:

• nPrevious Charge Nurse, Team Lead, or supervisory experience.n
• nExperience in long-term care or geriatric nursing.n
• nNursing specialty certification or willingness to obtain certification within three to five years.n

Pay Range: $37.07 to $57.46 Based On Experience
