Missions
The BERAD's main mission is to conduct studies and expertise related to public and worker radioprotection concerning the risk associated with radon exposure. As part of your activities, you will participate in the various missions of the bureau. Among these, you will be involved in the full range of BERAD activities:
- Participate in technical expertise;
- Participate in radon measurement campaigns in the field and contribute to their preparation, monitoring, and exploitation;
- Participate in the analysis and interpretation of measurement results;
- Contribute to the writing of technical reports, expertise opinions, and methodological documents;
- Participate in training actions for radon risk prevention actors;
- Provide technical support to inspectors during certain inspections or controls;
- Participate in working groups related to radon and indoor air quality.
In addition, BERAD develops and manages the calculation tools it uses to carry out its expertise:
- Design, develop, and maintain calculation and expertise support tools;
- Develop and use cartographic tools;
- Contribute to the improvement of internal tools.
Profile Sought
You hold an engineering degree or a doctorate in a scientific or technical field (physics, radioprotection, environment, physical measurements, scientific computing, data science).
With a good sense of analysis and synthesis, you are curious and enjoy working in a team. In particular, you come to specifically strengthen the data science component of BERAD and in this capacity, you have programming knowledge, a taste for data processing, while maintaining an interest in the wide range of activities of the bureau.
You have the skills to value your work, know how to report, inform your colleagues, and argue the positions taken by the expertise.
