Role Description -
The Chapter President is responsible for leading a local Interwoven chapter, overseeing programs, volunteer teams, and community relationships. This remote role involves planning and coordinating STEM workshops and events, supporting mentors and volunteers, and ensuring programs align with Interwoven’s mission and standards. The Chapter President collaborates with schools, community organizations, and partners to expand chapter reach and impact, while tracking program outcomes and reporting chapter activities to the national team. This position also includes managing chapter communications, promoting initiatives through digital channels, and helping with fundraising or grant opportunities to sustain and grow chapter operations.
Qualifications
- 8th Graders, High Schoolers, and Undergraduates
- Leadership and team management skills, with the ability to guide volunteers and foster an inclusive, collaborative chapter culture.
- Program coordination and organizational skills to plan, schedule, and oversee workshops, events, and ongoing chapter activities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage youth, families, community partners, and stakeholders in a clear and respectful manner.
- Familiarity or experience with STEM education, youth development, or nonprofit work, and a demonstrated commitment to equity and inclusion.
- Comfort with remote work tools and digital platforms for coordination, reporting, and outreach; ability to manage tasks independently.
- Experience with basic fundraising, community outreach, or partnership development is beneficial.
- Prior experience in a leadership or chapter-based role is a plus; relevant education or training in education, STEAM, or nonprofit management is advantageous.
