Northwell Health's Department of Emergency Medicine is seeking a Chair to provide complete operational, clinical, and academic oversight. This role involves collaboration with service line leadership on recruiting, finance, and business development, and offers the opportunity to work within Northwell Health's extensive integrated network.   • Emergency Medicine and Transitional Year Residency Programs.

  • ACEP Geriatric ED level 3 certification and PACED bronze level certification.
  • Dedicated ED behavioral health unit.
  • In house services: Psychiatry, Pediatrics, Ob/GYN, Orthopedics, CT Surgery, Acute Care Surgery, ENT, Critical Care, Hospital Medicine, Palliative Medicine, Cath lab, Interventional Radiology, 24/7 Radiology services, Pain Medicine.

Responsibilities

  • Provide complete operational, clinical, and academic oversight of the department.
  • Collaborate with service line leadership on recruiting, finance, and business development.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive organizational culture.
  • Play an essential role in creating and executing team member engagement initiatives.
  • Champion and advance diversity, equity, and inclusion as central to the organization and its values system.

Compensation

  • Full-time clinical base compensation at Northwell Health ranges from $125,000 to $750,000, which is impacted by various factors, including but not limited to physician specialty, level of experience, quality of care, academic accomplishments, patient experience and productivity.
