Chair of Neurology

Northwell Health is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Neurologist to lead and participate in neurological services at Glen Cove Hospital as Chair of Neurology. This role involves senior oversight for all hospital-based services, collaborating with health system leaders to achieve organizational goals, and actively engaging in clinical care. The ideal candidate will be a Board-Certified General Neurologist or Neuromuscular specialist who enjoys an active clinical role.

Responsibilities

• Lead and participate in neurological services at Glen Cove Hospital, including ambulatory neurology and inpatient consultation services.
• Provide senior oversight for all hospital-based services at Glen Cove Hospital.
• Collaborate closely with hospital and Eastern Market Health System leaders to achieve organizational, clinical, quality, operational, and financial goals for the Department of Neurology.
• Oversee clinician recruitment, education, and supervision.
• Lead strategic development and process improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Board-Certified General Neurologist or Neuromuscular specialist (ideal candidate).
• MD or DO Degree (or equivalent) from an accredited institution (ACGME or foreign program that is similarly appropriately accredited).
• Completion of Neurology residency with Board Certification.
• 10+ years of leadership experience (ideally).
• Current or eligible for licensure as a physician in the State of New York.
