Chair of Neurology

Northwell Health is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Neurologist to serve as Chair of Neurology at Glen Cove Hospital. This leadership role involves overseeing and participating in neurological services, including ambulatory neurology and inpatient consultation, while collaborating with hospital and market leaders to achieve organizational goals. The ideal candidate will be a Board-Certified General Neurologist or Neuromuscular specialist who enjoys an active role in clinical care.

Responsibilities

• Lead and participate in neurological services at Glen Cove Hospital, including ambulatory neurology and inpatient consultation services.
• Provide senior oversight for all hospital-based services at Glen Cove Hospital.
• Collaborate closely with hospital and Eastern Market Health System leaders to achieve organizational, clinical, quality, operational, and financial goals for the Department of Neurology.

• Process improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• M.D. or D.O. Degree (or equivalent) from an accredited institution (ACGME or foreign program that is similarly appropriately accredited).
• Completion of Neurology residency with Board Certification.
• 10+ years of leadership experience.
• Current or eligible for licensure as a physician in the State of New York.
• Board-Certified General Neurologist or Neuromuscular specialist (ideal).
