CGP: SR Accountant

We are partnering with our client looking for a Senior Accountant. You will be responsible for a range of moderate to advanced accounting tasks, including reconciliations, research, and analytical functions. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary $45 to $50 per hour.
Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review financial statements and general ledger entries to ensure transactions are accurately recorded in compliance with GAAP.
  
• Oversee fixed assets by evaluating expenditures for capitalization, maintaining the fixed asset database, preparing journal entries, managing asset tags, and performing account reconciliations and year-end inventory checks.
  
• Analyze and prepare journal entries for various accounts, including revenue, expenses, management fees, accounts receivable, accruals, reserves, and changes in net assets.
  
• Conduct technical accounting research and documentation to ensure transactions are properly recorded in accordance with GAAP.
  
• Prepare assigned account reconciliations.
  
• Coordinate annual audits and prepare necessary documentation, such as workpapers and financial statement footnotes.
  

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  
• 6+ years of accounting experience.
  
• Strong critical thinking, analytical, and communication skills.
  
• Ability to resolve complex issues and meet deadlines under pressure.
  
• Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, formulas, VLOOKUP, and graphs.
  
• Preferred experience in a non-profit environment, particularly with government grants and contracts.
  
• In-depth understanding of GAAP.
  
• Familiarity with Oracle Fusion or similar ERP accounting software.
