CGP: SR Accountant

Senior Accountant

Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Senior Accountant to assist their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting pay rate of $43.00 to $45.00 per hour.

Job Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP
• Assist in developing and managing the annual budget and forecasting financial performance
• Conduct account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in general ledger accounts
• Oversee cash management processes including monitoring cash flow and ensuring timely payments
• Coordinate internal and external audits and prepare required documentation for compliance

Requirements:

• 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in the consumer packaged goods (CPG) industry
• Apply strong knowledge of accounting software such as NetSuite and advanced Excel functions
• Manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Communicate effectively with strong leadership, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
• Maintain high attention to detail and accuracy in all financial reporting and analysis

Qualifications:

• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA preferred
• Understand financial reporting, budget management, and regulatory compliance standards
• Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard financial assets and ensure accurate reporting
• Contribute to process improvements and collaborate with departments to streamline operations
• Stay informed on tax regulations and oversee preparation of filings such as corporate, sales, and VAT
