CGP: Senior Accountant

Century Group is excited to share a great opportunity for a strong Senior Accountant to join one of our clients. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience and location. Expected starting base salary $40 to $46 per hour.
Roles and Responsibilities:

• Assist in developing and implementing internal controls and account reconciliations
• Maintain accounting schedules for fixed assets, leases, and other specified areas
• Support external audit requests and assist with various audits as required
• Participate in month-end closing activities including journal entries and GL reconciliations
• Conduct research on account variances (budget/forecast vs. actual)
• Contribute to the enhancement of accounting processes for increased efficiency
• Prepare ad hoc reports and support assigned projects as needed
• Fulfill additional duties as delegated

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
• 1-5 years of experience in accounting, finance, or cost accounting, with preference for manufacturing industry exposure
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Previous experience in the food industry is advantageous
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with ERP systems such as Aspen, Oracle, or SAP
• Demonstrated analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and draw valid conclusions
