CGP: Senior Accountant

Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Senior Accountant to assist their team. As a Senior Accountant, you'll play a crucial role in financial operations, performing general accounting functions and various analyses using GAAP procedures. Your responsibilities will involve working with general ledger accounts, balance sheets, income statements, ledger reconciliation, data preparation for journal entries, and financial statements.
Job Responsibilities:

• Record daily bank activities in the general ledger and perform bank reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly journal entries and reconcile balance sheet accounts, including accounts receivable, prepaids, accruals, and liabilities.
• Review, analyze, and reconcile income statement and balance sheet accounts to ensure US GAAP compliance.
• Assist with quarterly and year-end audits, including preparing necessary documentation and reports.
• Prepare and maintain unclaimed property escheatment reports and year-end business property tax filings.

• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business is required.
• At least 3+ years of general accounting and finance experience.
• Proficiency with Oracle ERP accounting software or similar systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis.
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of internal controls and adherence to established company policies.

• Display excellent interpersonal skills, both oral and written, to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Exhibit the proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Depict detail-oriented and strong analytical skills for reviewing and reconciling financial data.
• Prior experience maintaining compliance with US GAAP and preparing documentation for audits.
• Have a proactive approach to managing workload and improving financial processes.
