CGP: Cost Accountant

Century Group is partnering with a client who is seeking a Cost Accounting to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary $37 to $42 per hour.
Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct detailed cost analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities and ensure accurate cost allocation.
• Prepare and present cost reports, including variance analysis, to management.
• Implement and maintain cost control procedures to ensure efficient use of resources.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies related to cost accounting.
• Perform ad hoc financial analysis and reporting as required by management.
• Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, providing insights on cost trends and variances.
• Maintain and update cost accounting systems and software to ensure accurate data processing.

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3-5+ years of experience in Cost Accounting preferably in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Proficiency of production accounting software, MS Office Suite(advanced skills in Excel).
• Strong problem-solving skills to identify and resolve accounting discrepancies and issues.

• Support in implementation of Standard Costing Management Information System.
• Demonstrated ability to perform cost analysis, control, and reduction strategies.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasked environment with firm deadlines.
