The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is responsible for leading the organization's financial strategy, planning, analysis, and reporting functions. This role serves as a key business partner to executive leadership, providing financial insights that support operational performance, strategic decision-making, and long-term growth objectives. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader with strong analytical capabilities and the ability to drive financial excellence across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
CFO Dallas, TX - onsite $240-260k + bonus + equity
- Lead all aspects of financial planning and analysis (FP&A), including annual budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, KPI tracking, variance analysis, and management reporting.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive financial reporting packages that provide actionable insights into business performance.
- Perform detailed financial and operational analyses, including trend analysis, profitability assessments, and dashboard development to support executive decision-making.
- Partner with business leaders across the organization to identify opportunities for growth, operational improvements, and cost optimization.
- Establish, monitor, and enhance key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive accountability and measure organizational success.
- Provide strategic financial guidance to executive leadership and stakeholders through clear, data-driven recommendations.
- Foster a culture of financial accountability and business partnership across the organization.
- Collaborate with department leaders to develop performance metrics and ensure a consistent understanding of the key drivers of revenue, profitability, and operational performance.
- Drive continuous improvement of financial processes, reporting capabilities, and analytical tools to enhance visibility and decision-making.
- Support long-term strategic planning initiatives through financial analysis, forecasting, and scenario modeling.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive finance and accounting leadership experience, including experience leading financial planning and analysis functions.
- Demonstrated success in developing financial strategies, managing budgeting and forecasting processes, and providing executive-level financial insights.
- Experience operating in complex, growth-oriented organizations.
- Strong proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and advanced Excel applications.
- Experience working with business intelligence (BI), analytics, or reporting tools is preferred.
- Excellent analytical, communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Ability to operate effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and adapt to changing business needs.
- Strong executive presence with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization.
