Our client is currently seeking a highly hands‑on CFO for their mission driven organization that has a small office staff with a big mission!

The Role
The accounting function is closely linked to the organization’s endowment and involves endowment/foundation accounting, board reporting, and managing money in/out for fundraising activities.
The successful hire must offer practical leadership, ensure adherence to GAAP, maintain and allocate documentation, projections, reporting, and actively partner with the executive.
- Core accounting (including chart of accounts, posting, reconciliations, compliance)
- Endowment/foundation accounting (allocations, tracking, reporting)
- Team leadership/operational oversight of finance staff
- Hands‑on accounting, manage a team, ensure compliance with nonprofit (GAAP) standards, drive process improvement, work with CEO, prepare/provide financials for board and committees, take part in meetings.
Preferred Qualifications Of The CFO
- BS Accounting/Finance/Business related field
- 3+ years of nonprofit accounting experience within a leadership role; must understand nonprofit fund, endowment, and board reporting
- Ability to operate on‑site and provide team direction/clarification in a small, mission‑driven finance team
