Certified Surgical TechnologistWe are seeking an experienced Certified Surgical Technologist to join a dynamic surgical team at an outpatient center. This role supports a wide range of surgical procedures, ensuring a sterile environment and providing vital assistance to the surgical staff throughout operations.The Surgical Technologist is responsible for preoperative preparation, intraoperative assistance, and postoperative duties as assigned. This position ensures that surgical instruments, equipment, and the environment are sterile and functioning optimally to support safe and efficient procedures.Key responsibilities include:Prepare surgical instruments, equipment, and sterile field prior to proceduresAssist in patient transport and identification verificationMaintain strict aseptic technique and infection control practicesEnsure cleanliness and organization of operating room and equipmentSupport clinical staff with supply management and medication handlingProvide assistance in pre-op and post-op areas as neededAccurately document services and maintain equipment logsAdhere to HIPAA standards and safeguard patient confidentialityWork environment and physical demands include:Prolonged periods of standing, walking, lifting, and moving equipment (up to 65 lbs)Exposure to operating room conditions, including proximity to chemicals and mechanical hazardsOccasional need to wear PPE such as gowns, gloves, and masksFrequent use of fine motor skills and physical dexterityCultural competence and equity:Demonstrates respect for diverse populations and collaborates in an inclusive team environmentPromotes ethical behavior and professional integrity in all interactionsQualifications:Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist programNational certification preferred within one year of hireMinimum one year of recent operating room experience preferredStrong communication skills and manual dexterity requiredMust be adaptable to varying work schedules and clinical needs
