Job Title

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Arrange instrument trays, prepare sterile drapes and solutions, and help the surgical team put on caps, gowns, and gloves.
2. Assist with prep of patients as needed
3. Pass instruments to surgeons and surgical assistants.
4. May assist with sponge, needle, and other supply counts to track materials used in surgery.
5. May operate suction, diagnostic, and sterilizing equipment, and package specimens to take for laboratory analysis.
6. Clinic responsibilities may include rooming patients, taking vitals, orders, and routing phone calls

Education & Experience

• Certificate Required Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) - Required
• High School Diploma/GED Required
• 1 year Surgery Preferred
• Basic Life Support Program (BLS) - American Heart Association Required
• Experienced on Vital signs: 1 year (Preferred)
• Experienced on Surgery: 1 year (Required)
• BLS Certification (Required)
