To support a new online Surgical Technician Career Training program, the part-time Certified Surgical Technician Mentor will provide 1:1 coaching, reinforce surgical technology concepts, and assist students in preparing for the TS-C certification exam while working remotely. Key Responsibilities Conduct weekly mentorship sessions to support student learning and confidence in surgical concepts Assist students in connecting coursework to real-world operating room practices and prepare them for clinical readiness Collaborate with instructional teams to identify student challenges and enhance the curriculum based on learner feedback Required Qualifications Active Tech in Surgery - Certified (TS-C) credential through the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a Surgical Technician, preferably in a hospital operating room Prior experience mentoring or training students or new Surgical Technicians Strong understanding of sterile technique, infection prevention, and intraoperative workflows Ability to clearly explain surgical technology concepts to learners with no prior healthcare experience
