Position Overview

As a Certified Surgical First Assistant specializing in Cardiothoracic Surgery , you’ll play a critical role in supporting surgeons during advanced, life-saving procedures. Your precision and expertise will directly impact patient outcomes in a high-acuity OR setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as first assistant during CT surgical procedures
• Provide intraoperative support including exposure, suturing, and tissue handling
• Maintain a sterile surgical field and ensure safety protocols
• Anticipate surgeon needs and respond efficiently
• Collaborate with the OR team to ensure smooth workflow and optimal patient care
• Assist with pre-op preparation and post-op support

Requirements

• Certified Surgical First Assistant (CSFA or equivalent)
• Proven Cardiothoracic (CT) surgery experience required
• Strong knowledge of surgical anatomy and sterile techniques
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
