Reviewing medical record documentation, the full-time Certified Surgery Coder will determine appropriate billing codes and necessary documentation while working remotely. Key responsibilities Reviews documentation to identify comprehensive diagnoses and procedures for accurate coding Codes evaluation and management to appropriate CPT codes and diagnoses to ICD-9 codes Meets with physicians to resolve coding issues and secure signatures for unsigned dates of service Required qualifications Must possess one of the following coding credentials: AHIMA (CCA, CCS, or CCS-P) or AAPC (CPC, CPC-A, CPC-H, CPC-H-A) No specific work experience is required for this position A diploma, certification, or degree is not required
