JOB SUMMARY: The Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) provides high-quality, patient-centered anesthesia care across a variety of surgical, procedural, and clinical settings. The CRNA assesses patients preoperatively, participates in the development and implementation of anesthesia plans, administers anesthetics, monitors patients throughout procedures, and manages post-anesthesia recovery.
nThe CRNA practices within the scope defined by state law and the organization’s care model, collaborating with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe, efficient, and evidence-based care delivery and optimal patient outcomes.
nSKILL AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS (MINIMUM):
nEDUCATION
n· Graduate of an accredited nurse anesthesia program
n· Current licensure as a Registered Nurse and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN)
nEXPERIENCE
n· Experience in hospital, ambulatory surgery, obstetric, trauma, or specialty anesthesia settings
n· Proficiency with regional anesthesia and advanced airway techniques
n· Experience participating in quality improvement or leadership initiatives
nKNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY
n· Ability to handle multiple priorities in a stressful situation
n· Certification in CPR and annual re-certification required
n· ACLS certification preferred
n· Knowledge of Patient Centered Medical Home, with MIPS, HEDIS requirements preferred
nWORKING CONDITIONS:

n· Works indoors in a well-lit, well-ventilated area
n· May be exposed to communicable diseases
n· On-call coverage
