- Conduct initial and ongoing safety, risk, and vulnerability assessments of children and families
- Support case management by documenting all activities accurately and promptly
- Implement and monitor safety and service plans based on assessments
- Support families through home visits, safety planning, and referrals for additional services
- Prepare reports and provide professional recommendations for court and case reviews
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure child safety and well-being
- Maintain compliance with all confidentiality and documentation standards
Required:
- Indiana state license to practice as a Child Welfare Investigator or willingness to obtain
- Strong communication, organizational skills, and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and handle sensitive situations professionally
- Reliable transportation for home visits and travel within assigned county
Preferred:
- Previous experience in child welfare, investigations, or social work
- Knowledge of local community resources and legal processes related to child protective services
