What You ll Do

• Conduct initial and ongoing safety, risk, and vulnerability assessments of children and families
• Support case management by documenting all activities accurately and promptly
• Implement and monitor safety and service plans based on assessments
• Support families through home visits, safety planning, and referrals for additional services
• Prepare reports and provide professional recommendations for court and case reviews
• Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure child safety and well-being
• Maintain compliance with all confidentiality and documentation standards

What You Need
Required:

• Indiana state license to practice as a Child Welfare Investigator or willingness to obtain
• Strong communication, organizational skills, and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and handle sensitive situations professionally
• Reliable transportation for home visits and travel within assigned county

Preferred:

• Previous experience in child welfare, investigations, or social work
• Knowledge of local community resources and legal processes related to child protective services
